Exciting 6th Grade SOAR band announcement!

I’m pleased to celebrate with you that Creek’s 6th grade SOAR band students have been selected to perform at the Iowa Bandmasters Association state conference in Des Moines in May!  Through an audition recording process, only one 6th grade band is selected in the state of Iowa.  It is a tremendous honor and achievement of our students, and speaks volumes of the quality music programs we have at Prairie.  To clarify, the 6th grade SOAR band is compromised of about 60 of our 185 participating 6th grade band students.  These students meet during WIN (What I Need) time as an additional band period as an extension of their learning.  I am exceedingly proud of these students!
