The Board meets twice each month and is responsible for the district-wide educational and management policies, overseeing the fiscal management of the district and building community support for the school and our students.

Welcome to College Community School District's Blueprint for Success: 1999-2000 Annual Report to the Community.

If you've been on campus or driven by lately you can appreciate our "construction" theme for this report. The campus has been under construction for years. Although some might call it a construction zone, I like to think of campus as a "constructive zone"-a zone for students to engage in constructive activities both in and out of the classroom.

Much like the team of architects, engineers, and skilled workers use a blue print to set the footings for the foundation, install needed hardware, measure their work, and construct rooms that function well together. An educational blue print allows our team of educators to:

  • provide every child with a strong foundation of basic skills;
  • provide students access to vital hardware and software to become technologically competent;
  • accurately measure student success and process those measurements in meaningful ways; and
  • build a district-wide curriculum.

Our blue print is based on our mission-To ensure quality learning today for tomorrow. This is the foundation for all of our work here at College Community School District. I hope you will take a moment to review the progress we made last year and our goals for the future. Sit back and enter the "constructive zone."
