College Community Receives Partnership Award From Junior Achievement

The College Community School District was presented the Partnership Award for their involvement with Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa.

For over two decades, College Community Schools has partnered with Junior Achievement to provide instruction in the areas of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, career exploration, and citizenship.  In the 2018-2019 school year 3,328 College Community students participated in JA programming.  College Community has eight JA programs implemented in grades k-6. Our secondary students participate in JA’s financial literacy fair, Stock Market Challenge, and Titan Challenge.

“I have been consistently impressed with Junior Achievement’s programs, their staff, and the great service they provide our students and schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Doug Wheeler. “Junior Achievement is constantly reexamining how it can best serve the needs of our Prairie students and schools they work with. They have been and will continue to be a trusted partner.”
