College Community Schools – School Closure Update: April 17, 2020

On Friday, April 17, Governor Reynolds announced the extension of the school closure through the end of the school year. Her announcement also included cancellation of spring sports activities. Now that we are aware of the Governor’s announcement for school closure through the end of the year, we will release more details in the near future regarding senior activities such as prom and graduation to families who are affected.

Click here to find specific information about our approved plan for Continuous Learning for PK-8th grades and 9th-12th grades. If you have any questions about our Continuous Learning Plan, please reach out to your child’s teacher or principal. I have also included a VIDEO MESSAGE for Prairie families. Past video messages can be found on our distict YouTube channel.

Extending the school closure through the end of the year will impact our system in multiple ways, all of which we will continue to carefully review. We will be working to make decisions and develop plans and will share those as soon as they are available. As always, our families will be at the center of all of our decision making.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and flexibility as we work through this health crisis together.

In Service,

Doug Wheeler, PhD
Superintendent of Schools
