These fine facilities house innovative, comprehensive and rigorous classes that are taught by a talented faculty. Prairie High School has an 8 period/double block schedule that provides faculty and students with greater flexibility and variety for teaching techniques and success opportunities. Prairie also features a teacher advisor program to personalize each student's high school experience by assisting the student to establish a connection between school and life. We also have a performance based diploma requirement that requires the student to accumulate an organized portfolio of artifacts that can be taken to a school or a job that helps define who the student is and what he or she has done in high school. The students use their portfolio during a required senior presentation.
