Parents received a separate invitation for students earning recognition 2nd Semester – Spring 2015.
2014 – 2015 Yearbooks were delivered to homerooms on Wednesday, Oct. 14. 2015 Graduates – If you ordered a yearbook and have a younger sibling, your yearbook was sent with them. All others can be picked up in the High School Office.
Congratulations are in order for the 185 members of the Prairie “Hawks” Marching Band and Color Guard who competed in the Iowa High School Music Association’s annual “STATE MARCHING BAND CONTEST” on Saturday, October 10, at Kingston Stadium here in Cedar Rapids!
Following their impressive performance, the band was awarded their unprecedented 29th consecutive DIVISION I – SUPERIOR RATING! The Prairie “Hawks” Marching Band finished with a score of 85.5, the 6th highest score in school history at the State Marching Band Contest!
The members of the Prairie “Hawks” Marching Band and Color Guard are proud of their accomplishments this season, and of their opportunities to represent Prairie High School in the top 4-A Class of the Iowa High School Music Association!

ACTIVITIES / ATHLETICS

Physicals – for all Athletes
Physicals are good for one calendar year, with a one month grace period. A current physical must be on file for your athlete to participate in sports.
Physicals are offered during registration:
August 5th 11:00 am-7:00 pm & August 6th 3:00 pm-7:00 pm
At High School, Room C222
IHSAA form must be used.
Concussion Forms – for all Athletes
A concussion form, according to the IHSAA, must be filled out each year for ALL ATHLETES in sports.
Activities Handbook – for all Athletes and Fine Arts
A handbook only needs to be completed only once while attending the High School.
