In 1998, we surveyed parents and found that many felt a need to gain more ideas on how to help their children. The Parent Make and Take Workshop was piloted in 1999, and it was highly rated by the participants. We plan to run two workshops each year. These workshops are held on Saturday mornings for two hours each with childcare provided. Parents take home ready to use math, spelling, and reading games. All games are carefully selected to reinforce important concepts and to motivate interest among learners.
