The intermediate elementary classroom consists of students in the third, fourth, and fifth grades. Students are grouped according to ability in reading and math. Social studies concepts are taught using cooperative learning strategies as much as possible. Science is taught through the use of science kits from Grant Wood Area Education Agency that emphasizes the scientific process. The entire curriculum is derived from College Community School District's critical objectives.
